I have dental insurance but I need my widom teeth pulled. Since my dentist can not pull them and I have to go to an oral surgeon I do not have coverage under my current dental plan. Do I need to have dental insurance that will cover for an oral surgeon in order to have my wisdom teeth pulled?

Well no you do not need to have dental insurance for an oral surgeon to pull your wisdom teeth. You would only need to pay them at the time services are render. You may want to find out if they have some type of payment plan if you feel you may need one.

The reason why one gets dental insurance is to help off set the cost of our dental services. Dentist do not require you have dental insurance in order to help you.
However like one replay stated you would then be paying for the complete billing on your own.

Before getting nothing and saving nothing you may want to at least look into buying a dental discount plan and saving 20 percent off of your oral surgeon needs.
Any of the dental discount plans that this site as to offer you will start the next business day. You only need to check and make sure there is a oral surgeon in your area that is taking the plan.
In most states we also offer dental insurance but for your current need since you have dental insurance though work a discount plan may workout better for you
